Since fibroids grow around the reproductive organs of a female, you're going to have to go through major surgery to get the actual tumor. That means it is going to cost you a lot of money, there is much more risk associated with it and it can be a painful recovery. But there is more. Often the fibroid is embedded into organs, which means that the doctor can't get the fibroid without destroying the organ.
